It’s Tote Bag Time!

Schlepping around your kid’s stuff can be a huge pain. Especially when they’re past the age where it seems appropriate to carry around a giant diaper bag for all their junk. I know for myself and many of you out there, we’ve resorted to using plastic bags from the drugstore and those recyclable totes from the supermarket as the go-to vessel for miscellaneous books, snacks, juice boxes and toys since we would never be able to cram it all in our day to day handbag. Well, the answer to this common problem is actually pretty simple. It’s time to invest in a nice oversize tote bag. The beauty of a tote bag is that it’s roomy enough to hold all of your child’s things and your own personal items all in one place. There’s no need to look like a bag lady anymore! Leave those old bags for your grocery shopping where they belong.

Think of your tote as a second purse and pick and choose accordingly. The whole point is to still feel pretty and fashionable while lugging around a giant bag. One of my favorite tote bags comes from iconic British handbag designer Lulu Guinness. I am completely obsessed with her Doll Face Wanda Tote! With a double sided print of Liza Minnelli-esque open and closed eyes, its combination of chic and kitsch cannot be beat.
